Never sign in from Settings — the App Store only

Never sign in from the Settings app! This operation is only allowed inside the App Store.

Some buyers have signed in with their purchased Apple ID inside iPhone Settings. Signing in from Settings leads into the iCloud setup flow and triggers Apple security checks, which can lock the account or flag it for risk control.

Where to sign in

• Open the blue App Store icon on your Home Screen.
• Tap your profile avatar at the top right, then sign in with the account from your order.
• When prompted for two-factor setup, follow the guide: choose Upgrade, or Other Options → Do Not Upgrade.

Already signed in from Settings?
